There is something about seeing an artwork at the gallery that confronts you with the realist truth  you have. Penny Siopis has a way of doing that. Many emotions and past encounters rushed in when i was looking at her paintings. I don’t know if it was a conscious thing or Im just so emotional about paintings but she is brilliant either way. Looking at a painting on the internet is way different as seeing it in the correct context which is the art gallery. the Exhibition is still up at The Wits Art Museum. You will be blown away.
